Saif Ali Khan will play something that comes naturally to him in Sudhir Mishra’s next. In The Nawab The Nautch Girl & The Johns Company, Saif will play the Nawab (no guesses why) and Chitrangada Singh will play the nautch girl.

Says Mishra:
I’ve written a black comedy The Nawab The Nautch Girl & The Johns Company. Only Saif will suit the role of the nawab.In fact, I don’t think I can make it without him.”

“The character of the nawab must have strength and vulnerability at the same time. He must also have an easy boyish charm and regality that’s so inherent to Saif.”

Looks like Aishwarya not only suffers from bouts of giggling episodes but also has a problem keeping her voice down. Witnesses at the Dusit Thani hotel in Bangkok saw Abhishek requesting his wife to keep her voice low as she appeared in high spirits. However Ash chose to ignore him and continued in her revelry.

Says an eyewitness, “She continued with her extra-loud self-expression, until Abhishek took her to the lobby and made her sit down there, to calm her down. For a while, things were rather quiet, until Ash suddenly decided to pipe up all over again. She continued arguing at the top of her voice, until Abhishek, sensing that the situation was getting embarrassingly out of control, beckoned his personal security guards and asked them to escort his wife to her room.”

Says Bachchan, "AB Corp is making a film based on the relationship between Emperor Ashoka and his son Kunal. I am still considering the project which will be directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi."

Dwivedi who has written and script as well as the screenplay for the untitled film, says, "The story is a legend based on a collection of Buddhist texts called the Avadanas which deals with the purification of the soul and mind.

Bachchans Sign Rs1500 Crore Deal With Reliance Big Entertainment

Its good to have a last name, which spells Bachchan! The Reliance Big Entertainment, which is already making inroads in Hollywood and is in talk with Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks, has signed the Bachchans up. Apparently they had no qualms about offering a Rs 1,000-1,500 crore deal to the Bachchan parivar.

Confirming the news, a spokesperson for RBE said, “We are proud of the association with the Bachchan family. We are confident that the creative genius of the Bachchans and the business acumen of Reliance will create magic and take entertainment to a different level. The joint venture and our strategy to tie up with Indian and international creative talent will help the company build a new-age global entertainment conglomerate.”

“We have stopped seeing one another for a while now. Some time back she called me to say she wanted money, about Rs 1 crore, to buy a house. (This, after she had complained against me to the police.) I called up a banker-friend and stood as her guarantor and got her a loan of Rs 50 lakh.

Then, I gave her Rs 55 lakh cash from my pocket. Of this, she has returned Rs 25 lakh. She still owes me Rs 30 lakh. I’ve also spent Rs 10 lakh on her sister’s plastic surgery, after the acid attack. But I’m not asking for that back. I paid all the bills. When Mukesh Bhatt asked back for her signing amount of Rs 50,000, I paid that for her too. I’ve written all that off. But I’d like to have the money that I lent her for her house.”

The bitterness has now made way for a calmer acceptance of the situation. He says, “We were as good as husband and wife. I was actually building a house for both of us on Yari Road. We lived together for three years at a friends’ place. I used to show her a lot of movies.”]]>

Launching your nephew Imran Khan is quite an emotional gesture.
(Smiles) I don't think I am launching Imran¢ at least it didn't start that way. But yes, there is certainly an emotional connect. I actually trained under chachajaan for four years as an assistant. Then he produced Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, my launch film. Now, 20 years later, Imran is acting and I am producing the film. So it has kind of come a full circle. Chachajaan would have been very happy today had he been alive. Which is why I have dedicated the film to him.

That sounds like an emotional person speaking.
I guess I am. I was very close to chachajaan since we lived close togetherÃ¢ my dad and him. Chachajaan was next door, so I have spent half my life at chachajaan's house. He was wonderful human being, extremely talented, and loving with a great sense of humour. He used to keep us in splits.

So it was the professional Aamir and not the emotional one in act.
When I was producing the film?

Yes.
Yes, it was. I'm always there for him. But I think professionally, I can't be dishonest to myself or to my audience. Only if the person deserves to be in the film, then he will be. As an emotional person, I will do whatever I can for that person in every which way. For example, Ashu is a friend of mine but I didn't produce Lagaan because he is a friend; I produced it because I liked the script. I wasn't doing him a favour.
