Bollywood and Cricket has always been synomous with each other and now the relationship just got stronger tahnks to the bidding results of Indian Premier League. The whole nation took notion when news started pouring that Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta now have their own crcket teams!
SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment won the Kolkata franchise for $75 million and Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia, together with Apeejay Surrendra’s Karan Paul and Dabur scion Mohit Burman got the the Chandigarh franchise for $75 millioin.
After a run-in with the BCCI last November, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan took a swipe at the body saying there should not be any objections if he now watched cricket matches.
“No one should have objection if I watch a match now,” said Shah Rukh after he won a bid on Thursday to own Mumbai team in the high-profile Indian Premium League (IPL).
