On the commercial failure of Elizabeth-The Golden Age:
“I’m actually too much of a rebel. I was sidelined here also, remember. When I was working here, for all the films I made, I’ve been sidelined here. I think I’ve been always considered a man outside the system. Whether it’s here or out there, I’m always the man that works from outside the system. I never get into a system,” said Kapur.
On Taare Zameen Par:
"I haven’t seen a film since Masoom where the kids have acted so well. Last time I saw kids acting well was my own film,” he said with a chuckle.
“I think it’s a great debut for Aamir. It’s a very honest, very courageous film. I called up Aamir and I said, ‘I wouldn’t have had the courage to have an art competition as the climax of the film.’ It’s very courageous, it’s very honest, it’s very moving, what else do you want?” he asked.
