Were you expecting to win Nach Baliye 3?
Initially no, but once as the show progressed and we made it to the finals, our confidence levels also shot up.
But your win did not go down well with Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek. What’s your reaction to her staging a walk-out?
I wish Rakhi was a bit more sporting. She should have shown some respect for the platform and also the audience’s decision.
Did you ever feel that Rakhi and Abhishek deserved to win?
A lot of couples could have won. But the fact is only the best wins. And like I said, we were the first finalists to be announced and even Madhuri Dixit, the dancing diva had bestowed the award on us. That sure says a lot as does the fact that we were never once in the danger zone.
Why do you think Rakhi lost?
It was the discretion of the audience. I think they felt that we were the best.
What’s your take on Rakhi’s allegation that you never invited them to a party that you recently held?
We (Aamir-Sanjeeda, Rakhi-Abhishek) were shooting before we left for a promotional tour to Ahmedabad and Rakhi and Abhishek left for the same to Delhi. After coming back, I sent out an SMS saying that if you guys are not tired, please let me know as I am hosting this party and I hope you can make it. I, however, don’t remember the exact words. But now I am not even sure they understood the message. I am not sure what exactly happened or went wrong.
Rakhi even accused that you guys have used an “illegal software called PC SMS tool kit.” According to her, “Apparently, the other couple had roped in 3-4 cyber cafes for the purpose. With the help of this software, they polled 200 votes per second and that got them a lead of 5 lakh votes over us.” Your comments .
I have no idea what she is talking about. People, in fact, should question her how she got to know about these stuffs. I’m sure Rakhi wants publicity but I would not like to get into this fracas anymore.
The rumour mills are abuzz saying that the show was rigged and you guys were the winners because eventually, the winners have to host the show for the next season.
Sachin and Supriya were the winners for the first season but they did not host the show. In fact, Hussain and Tina were roped in for this season because they were professional anchors. So, there is no hard and fast rule that the winners always host the show for the next season.

Its not about being sporting ...its about giving in to injustice. This is the case where it is Rakhi Sawant...who is known for her talks, but it could have been anyne who is not as bold as her and would just sit and watch...Anyhow ...Mr Amir before saying something like this you must try to remember that you are no great shake wheere dacing is concerned and yesas against Rakhi there are very few people who really know you and would waste 6 bucks voting for you. It was quite surprising but you seem to be knowing a lot of ig shots. Salman continously smiling at you asking if that was the SANJIDA...We have voted for Rakhi and we strongly belive you guys were no stand...its nothing but a foul game and im sure one should take a stand when you smell foul!!!Don't you think so??
