It will be a while before Farhan Akhtar announces his next big project but the director did talk about his new short film recently. Positive is a 12-minute short film about a family affected by HIV AIDS. Positive is one of the four short films made for the Bill Gates Foundation with a view of generating HIV AIDS awareness
Talking about the film, Farhan says, “The film was entirely shot in Mumbai and stars Boman Irani, Shabana Azmi and a debutant actor, Arjun Mathur. Just as a social stigma, many people believe that an HIV patient should be isolated. They also have certain misconceptions about dealing with the disease. And since India has a lot of joint families; it becomes very important for them to understand the value of support to the person who has acquired this disease. This is exactly what Positive talks about.”
