Covering Bollywood and the Hindi Cinema

Mr Bhatti On Chutti (MBOC)  directed by Karan Razdan will star Anupam Kher and even Amitabh Bachchan according to the grapevine.

Karan Razdan describes his movie as a satirical comedy. He says, "   MBOC   talks about various social issues and also about human beings. The film revolves around a central character Mr Bhatti played by Anupam Kher, who is a die-hard fan of Amitabh Bachchan in the film and goes to UK with a tourist group."

So will Bachchan make a special appearance in the film as his close friend Kher is playing protagonist? About Big B's cameo, director Razdan says, "Let that remain a mystery. But yes, the character Mr Bhatti is a die hard fan of Amitabh and seeks his advice often. We've nearly completed shooting the film. Only shots of Mr. Bachchan's bungalow require to be shot."

After 'sexual thrillers' what attracted Karan to comedy? "Comedy is the great genre through which one can express oneself. I wanted to create a character that can do the things which I wish I could have done in my life. It's a very interesting 'human drama'."
