Raj Kumar Hirani’s next film with Shahrukh Khan has now been shelved contrary to the recent rumors. Many feel that the film has been delayed as SRK has not committed to the project completely and has no dated. But Hirani denies this.

“SRK is not delaying the film. We need time for pre-production and final scripting, so we’ll start the film in January 2008.”

Shah Rukh clarifies the issue further, saying, “I’m doing Raju’s film, but with due respect, dates are a personal matter. I don’t like discussing my dates as a matter of principle. It’s the ambit of the producer and director.”

Says a source, “Raju (Hirani) is very excited about this film. It’s completely different from his Munnabhai series and touches on social issues like education and literacy.
