This year belonged to Akshay Kumar and looks like the Income Tax Department is in agreement too! According to an IT Officer this year AK was the leading taxpayer in Bollywood and even surpassed Hrithik Roshan. The officer claims that Akshay paid about 26 Crores as Income Tax but since the last date of filing tax returns is October 30, the I-T source claims Shah Rukh is expected to surpass Akshay.

“Akshay’s assessment shows that he has signed and completed more films in this year when compared to Hrithik, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh,” said the I-T source.

“Both SRK and Amitabh Bachchan are yet to file their returns to the Central Charge Department (CCD). SRK is expected to file highest tax returns this year,” added an IT official.
