Ms. Rai could have topped the list if only she had used her beauty purposefully.Endorsing cosmetics and various high end luxury brands and spending all the money earned towards a lavish lifestyle is very shameful .Check the others who topped the list,Jolie who proudly nurtures 3 adopted children along with her own,Chef Nigella Lawson who teaches the world to cook,Queen Raina who dedicates her life to the upliftment of Jordan,mind you they all are so oblivious of their supposed beauty and may probably being aware of the list would nt alter their life one bit.
India is a developing nation and Ms Rai could do a great deal of charitable work and create awareness of various causes amongst her large number of fans through her beauty,this is clearly an example of vanity and not beauty.
Sorry to disappoint her fans but give me a Sushmita Sen,Shobha Dey,Anoushka Shankar,Arundhati Roy ,Kiran Bedi any day.They epitomise Indianness,are pround Indians,are powerhouses of talents and Strengths,such beauty does nt wither with age and time but only grows.

i ask you what charitable work have you done? how many kids have you adopted?? how r u representing india in your life??
its very easy to say that ash is not using her beauty purposefully but how have you made a difference to the world??
we all have our choices of living the life we have and so does ash and so do you.
so stop accusing and complaing and instead face the fact that she is in the top ten list and you are not.

Thanks for your blessings and good wishes,I am indeed proud when I see her gorgeous face in so many campaigns abroad.I have not adopted any children so far,but I do loads of charity in little ways and yes I do represent India,I am Indian and so proud to be but this list is not about me ,I was just trying to point out that she could have topped the list being such a famous Indian in the west and ofcourse in India too.And yes,I am not in the list of the worlds most beautiful women and probably will never be because that's not my goal in any case.Read what I have stated above carefully,I am not saying thast you have to accept it,Its my view point and you can definitely have yours.
I dont need to know your life goals,they're pretty clear.

Dude,be assured that this is not the 1st time an Indian appeared on this list,It is Ash's third time,she has fallen from the number 1 position in 2005 to number 9 this year.Earlier Gayatri Devi appeared on the Top 10 list of Worlds most beautiful women too,dont worry there are a lot of Young beautiful Indian ladies waiting to appear on that list and stay there.
