Thank you for printing this. I agree with you and I too am asking why SRK would endorse this product. It really saddens me to know SRK will do anything for money. Even disrespect his dark skinned fans by encouraging them to lighten their skin because according to Emami there is something wrong with it.

Shahrukh is neither killing a Chinkara nor associated with D company. He is just promoting products. In a democratic country like India, SRK can do any such stuff, like promoting Fair and Handsome. It’s all about his decision for endorsement. Today’s consumers are quite intelligent and smart in taking buying decision. I don’t think any of the superstars or sports person has the capability to hypnotize nowadays customers.

I don’t think that the ad where Shahrukh Khan endorsing the cream is pathetic. He is the No.1 Hero of Bollywood. I found a link on BBC news site where Shahrukh compared is being called as Bollywood’s Tom Cruise. Here is the URL http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/7010885.stm . SRK is not a fool. Being a celebrity he could endorse any product. Nothing is pathetic over there. If anybody does not accept it so it’s his personal thinking. Shahrukh is endorsing a product that does not mean he is forcing anybody to use it.

It is very sad that SRK would endorse such a product. Not because he is doing adds because he does need to make a living, but to endorse a product which is 1) not heathy and 2)telling Indians and other dark skinned people all over the planet that it is better to be white. Now that is sad. He, and everyone else, would be just a hansome (or pretty - for women) if their skin were darker. He and everyone else would still have their features and tallents. Please SRK, don't tell dark skinned people that they have to be white to be beautiful or hansome.
