“I don’t want us to look like idiots in front of the foreign media,” says Shilpa.
“I didn’t understand what was happening. And then I saw everything being blown out of proportion on TV. I am not allowed to work, my entire shooting has been disrupted,” says Shilpa.
“Richard Gere called me three times since the morning to apologies and said that he didn’t want to hurt the sentiments of Indian people. And if he did, he is sorry. We went there for a cause. Richard doesn’t belong to our country, and he is so passionate about the cause,” says Shilpa.
Richard Gere shouldn't worry much and someone please tell the man that India's (or should I say RSS and their kin) new found hobby is to shout of slogans and burn effigies!

hey guys whats with the whole thing...indians are supposedly the most educated people..we should not let the media rule us to such an extent...lets not make a fuss over nothing...if we are to focus n the wrong things we wont go far in life....hats off to shilpa and richard gere.
