Contrary to recent media reports, actor John Abraham is not adopting a child as of now. However he did admit that it figures in his future plans:

"Yes, I am definitely looking up to adopt a kid. But not now. When I said, I would adopt a child, I never meant that I would do it right away. I'll go ahead with my adoption plan once I get married. And that's going to happen only after three or four years. But unfortunately, media hyped the issue as if I am adopting a child just now. There was nothing that motivated me towards adoption, it was a feeling that came from inside my heart."

On His Bad Habits:
"Earlier, I used to be a chain smoker. But now, I have left it completely. But these days, I have no other option but to smoke, as I portray a character who smokes in the film 'No smoking'. Once I complete the film, I'll leave it again. I am mentally too strong to depend on smoking for rejuvenating myself for work. I know I am mentally very strong and can quit the habit anytime I want. I have decided to do just that right after the film is over."

On Discussing His Adoption Plans With Bips:
"Except our roles and films, we discuss each and everything when we are together. At professional front, we try to give it hundred percent, but we never talk about our work in our personal life. Sometimes, if we have no other way but to talk about our work, we make sure that we don't interfere in each other's work."
