she was called an indian Angelina Jolie by many publications in india (actually, just one, the rest of them copy that one). This was just because she did some fighting and crazy kicks in the film Dus. I really like Shilpa Shetty and all, but I don't feel so good about her going into a reality show... especially one that's abroad... ESPECIALLY BIG BOSS. Oye, Shilpa, bachke rehna!

oops... i ment big brother, not Big Boss. I don't really watch english television...

Let's see if she's just another Western wannabe! Or if she makes a effort to teach them about our great culture! probably the former!

I am from england and have been watching shilpa, and she is doing a great job , she has survived nomination once. She was not voted out this week either. She has kept her dignity. In fact the other actors/singers etc are very interested in bollywood and think she is absolutely gorgeous. The newspapers are also quoting that she has bought class to the house.

I am also in England and I'm afraid all she has done for India is to say what a wealthy country it is, how loved she is there, that people call her Ma'am and Madam and everyone recognises her and stands when she enters a room!
She survived the first eviction because 3 of the people she was up against were members of a well known and generally disliked English family. The other was Jermaine Jackson.

Shilpa is being bullied in the house by 3 English girls. I am an English male and am disgusted with the treatment she is getting from these vile creatures. She is strong though. Very strong. While she has been reduced to tears many times she is so dignified and classy, perhaps to the irritation of her aggressors. She speaks better English than most British people and has talked a lot about Indian culture and her beliefs. She represents India wonderfully.

She has represented your country as an astounding ambassador. I cannot believe she has not killed those trash, or as a friend of mine says kunjarees (dunno if that is the right spelling).

I have caught some clips on Youtube and find it highly insulting as an Indian when wannabies like Jo mimic Indian accents and refer to her as "THE Indian". Though I am not a big fan of Shilpa the actress I cant help feeling proud that atleast the actress brought in some class in show which is totally crass!

its obvious big bro has got shilpa in there to attract a wider audience and it seems to be working! well all i can say is i've never been interested in teh show, but seem to be watching it now and then now that it had shilpa.

You have to remember that the clips on youtube have been put there by people who have been stirring up the mass hysteria and do not show the complete picture.

While you are right Youtube doesn't have the whole show (thank god for that) however even if the clips are taken out of context, they r pretty disgusting!

What is the complete picture? Is someone justified making fun of someone's accent in an offensive way! I mean Danielle has an accent which doesn't even sound like english at times but no one seems to notice! Which is funny since Shilpa speaks accentless English!

Calling some one dog, paki or "the indian" or throwing tantrums when dinner isnt served at 4 PM (who eats at 4) and targeting her makes you wonder, whats up with the 3 girls!

shilpa is giving the brits an oppurtunity to understand the culture of the other world..which is good for them coj asians are growing in numbers day by day.
she is different from other inmates becoj she is successful and is class personified...rest of the people in big brother need a reality check for sure.they are has been and that too in small way..and b4 being successfull they need to become human beings and shed some weight !!

Shilpa isn't ambassador of India as she hasn't take any official permission from Indian Govt. She went to appear in this Program for her own publicity and money. Its all publicity stunt for the program as well as Shilpa. Shilpa must be aware of the program environment before making plans to participate in it. After all there are lot of other Indians who must be facing this type of racism remarks in UK, Are they being publicised like this? No, then why Shilpa ? She must get tough and fight it on her own as it was her decision to participate for her own sake and not for India. There are lot of important and serious issues than Shilpa being bullied. I am also an Indian and gets very much disgusted with media when they pay so much importance to celebrities and politicians ignoring the common man problems. Can this Non sense and sympathy wave be stopped? There are lot of poor people who are being starved to death because of No food, Is media highlighting or doing something to help them? Publicity and Money - Its All A Materialistic World.

Shilpa said that she felt that there was racism being done towards her, but cleo said no jades not racist! I am an Indian girl living in London born and brought up. Shilpa has remained calm and very dignified. She knew what she was doing and what she was getting into...her career in India was going no where so she took this opportunity to promote herself as much as possible. If she gives half of what she has earnt to her poverty striken countryfolk then I will agree she truly is an Indian...Somehow I do not believe she will give one rupee to anyone apart from her mother who is her pitbull terrier keeper. She has never lived her life as freely as she has for the last weeks in the BB household..she is 31 years old and has learnt so much about life.. I hope she really helps those who really need help and show her true worth...Frankly I feel that celebrities are only true celebrities if they really help others in need of real help, as they have been helped by the universe already.

I think she is doing good in the show...but she thinks too much of her self...she should not brag like that...coz she aint that hit in bollywood...although she dances well, her acting is sometimes annoying n fake...
