Covering Bollywood and the Hindi Cinema

Looks like its not only Mira Nair rubbing shoulders with A List Hollywood actors. Deepa Mehta has confirmed that she will be directing Cate Blanchett in her forthcoming project. Tentatively titled The Julia Project the movie is set in 1950 New York.

This is what Deepa Mehta had to say:
“It’s a film set in the 1950s in Manhattan and chronicles the life, romantic and otherwise, of a coal-miner’s daughter. It’s based on a true story.”
