The Bollywood beauty, speaking exclusively to the Mirror at a secret hideaway, said the turmoil left her feeling at the “epicentre of a cultural earthquake”.
Shilpa, 31, said tensions “spiralled out of control” when Jade Goody and mum Jackiey arrived in the house.
And she said of the torrent of abuse she from foul-mouthed Jade: “She was using really nasty words - spiteful, mean and selfish. She was at a very high decibel.
“I don’t like confrontation but Jade was looking for trouble. You couldn’t reason with her.
“She would just keep talking and didn’t seem to listen to anything I said.
“She was just so noisy. I tried to make myself understood and explain things. But it was like being at the epicentre of a earthquake.”

But as she watched footage of Jade’s notorious tirade in the Oxo cubes row in the cold light of day, she sighed: “She’s so mean, she’s so mean.”
The gulf between the cultured actress and her crude tormentor was also highlighted when Jade, 25, wrongly accused Shilpa of claiming she “needed elocution lessons”.
Shilpa, laughing as she watched the footage, pointed out: “I couldn’t understand it. I said etiquette.” And, further illustrating the massive divide between them, she went on: “Jade said to me, ‘I don’t understand half the words you use’.”
The movie star, who is worth around £15million and lives in luxury in Mumbai, knew having to share a house with strangers on British television would be an enormous challenge.
She only agreed to appear on the show on condition that she did not have to do any tasks frowned upon by her fans in India, such kissing, boozing or wearing revealing swimwear.
It was a challenge she was coping with well until the Goody clan arrived. Shilpa said: “I was told that at any time I felt uncomfortable with something, I didn’t have to do it. I felt very, very safe and I thought I could handle anything.
“But I had no power over the actions of the other people in the house. When Jade and her mum arrived, it spiralled out of control.”
