Covering Bollywood and the Hindi Cinema

The talented Vishal Bharadwaj is all set to release his next venture, The Blue Umbrella which is an adaptation of the Ruskin Bond story. This one is a relief from the regular Bollywood fare however actor Pankaj Kapur and Bharadwaj        refuse to call it a children's film.

The movie revolves around a young girl who loses her blue umbrella which is the envy of the whole village. The Blue Umbrella is set for a countrywide release on January 5, 2007.

"I feel more excited working with kids, because they are so natural, no baggage with kids, the advantage is that you can tell them when to shut up. You can’t do that with the older actors and you can also tell them to do things your way,” Bhardwaj says.
