Nicholas Cage In Deepak Chopra's Sadhu!

The lines between Bollywood and Hollywood seem to be blurring recently and many production houses from both sides of the Atlantic have been seen collaborating. Looks like after the Will Smith and UTV tie up, now its is Virgin Comics (brainchild of Richard Branson, Shekar Kapur and Deepak Chopra ) adapting their comics into a major Hollywood film.

The Sadhu will have Nicholas Cage essay the role James Jensen and

the movie like the comic would revolve around the British Raj Period. Gotham Chopra has written the screenplay and in most probability will direct it too. However for now very little details are available to the press and this is what Virgin Comics CEO Sharad Devarajan has to say:

The Sadhu is a bold, visual epic that taps into one of India's most heralded spiritual traditions,'

Deepak Chopra is also thrilled with the new project and was heard saying :

"It's a wonderful story and as my son likes to remind me, it is also the story of Buddha's pre-enlightenment which has plenty of action and lust and rage and so many of the elements that inspire an epic. I'm planning on telling many more stories via this medium (the comics) as well."
