"People think I'm gay "-Shah Rukh Khan
Here are some excerpts from a recent interview Shahrukh Khan gave to CNN IBN.

Rajeev Masand: Not many people know this but the Munnabhai films were conceived with you in mind. Also the first film Munnabhai MBBS was a film in which you even collaborated with some of the writing portions. In fact you have been very graciously saying that you would not have done as good a job as Sanjay Dutt did in the two films. What did you think about the second Munnabhai film that
shahrukh_khan_editided1_2jpg-web.jpg did so well recently?

Shah Rukh Khan: I haven’t seen it but my wife and kids have seen it twice and they loved it. To be honest, I wasn’t in town when the first Munnabhai came out. My family went to see the film because they knew that I was extremely keen on watching it.

Raju Hirani’s simplicity of storytelling is the most wonderful thing about the film. In fact I loved the title of the film when I heard it. Vidhu Vinod Chopra had come to me and he was extremely passionate to make the film but I had to undergo a surgery at that time.

Rajeev Masand: So, what was the last film you watched on a DVD?

Shah Rukh Khan: I think the last one I watched was Rang de Basanti. Before that I watched Krrish in a cinema theatre. I have been watching some English dramas of late. I recently watched Murder One and Prison Break.

Rajeev Masand: When was the last time you got into a fight?

Shah Rukh Khan: I don’t fight with anyone. I haven’t gotten into a fight for a long time really.

Rajeev Masand: When was the last time you wanted to punch someone?

Shah Rukh Khan: I will wait till I hear your review of Don. I might want to punch you, who knows?

Rajeev Masand: Can you imagine what your career would have been had you not done films like Darr, Baazigar and Anjam.

Shah Rukh Khan: My career would have been nothing if I had not done those films. Those films not only did well but they made me commercially viable as well. It made me unpredictable as an actor and I still live on that unpredictability. The character that I played in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna may not go down well with a lot of people. But somewhere down the line people will see you as this extremely unpredictable guy who can say or do anything.

Today, when I play a Don nobody is turning around saying Shah Rukh is doing a negative role. It has been accepted now. So it has given me a certain edge above others.
Rajeev Masand: What is the most odd piece of gossip that you have heard about yourself?

Shah Rukh Khan: I don’t know if its odd any longer. People think that I’m a gay. Recently somebody asked me if I’m still in touch with my feminine side. They ask me why did I do the Lux ad and things like that. They are very sweet about it but I know where they are heading. I think there is a feminine side to me, as people like to assume. This might rank as their top most gossip.

Then there was this gossip that I love fair women. And that’s why I don’t cheat on my family at home. I go abroad and am seen with fair ladies. Then there was this about my house that I have no windows at home because I want to make sure that nobody sees me. And many more such things have been said about me. This just keeps going on and on.

Rajeev Masand: Do you think that money can buy happiness?

Shah Rukh Khan: It makes it easier to get happiness. I do believe in a material world to a certain extent. I think material happiness is quite an important step before you look for spiritual happiness. There are people who think the other way round. They might also be right. But in the kind of education and the world where I have grown up, and we all are growing up, a certain level of consumerism become a reality.

Rajeev Masand: You are known to be a gizmo freak. What is the last toy that you purchased?

Shah Rukh Khan: I am waiting for the Playstation three to come up. I like Playstation. I am not a fan of an X-BOX 360, but Playstation is something that I am eagerly waiting for. It’s coming out in November, so either on my birthday or my son’s birthday we might have an excuse to buy it as a gift for either of us. If my wife doesn’t allow me to buy it for my son, he will buy it for me.

Rajeev Masand: What works better with the kids? A yelling or pasting?

Shah Rukh Khan: I never yell at kids. I just hug them hard and threaten them not to do something again. I think the yelling part should be left to the moms. Moms yell, fathers must laugh it off.

Kids are closer to their moms, so you need to be nice to them to win them over. Whenever mom yells, I quickly move in and gain some brownie points by being kind to them. I would never be aggressive with a woman or a little child. I would rather die before I raise hand on a little kid or a lady.

Rajeev Masand: For what subjects do your kids come to you for help?

Shah Rukh Khan: I teach them Hindi. I am really very keen on teaching them the language because kids these days are weak at it. Everything has become anglicised today. So, I make it a point to teach them. I can help them with Math only till fifth standard because after that I was no good at it. I was very good with Sciences till about eighth standard. I teach them as and when they need me. But I make it a point to teach them Math and Hindi.

Sharuk is GAY !! karan 2 is gay....the 2 of them are having a GAY affair and the reason why sharuk can say that he doesnt cheat is because his wife thinks that his meeting karan is only business and doesnt realize the FACT!!!!!!

THIS IS REALY AND TRUE INFO...IF YOU DONT WANNA BELIEVE IT then i dont care but this is what i know and have SEEN FOR MYSELF and though i should share this here

Dear Mr.Shah rukh khan i am a hug fan of yours i love every one of your movies but my 2 year old baby cousin is in love with you he keeps a photo of you in his pocket at all times and he wachted tha movie Don 5 times in the same day istn that something for a baby. So he even sang the song Mitwa on the microphon about 20 times. bye

Hey ShahRukh Khan it's your biggest 13 year old fan Eiman Al-ubudy I love you so much, and I read your interview about how people are saying all those lies about you been gay. I know it's not true, and even if you are I really don't care, and it dosen't mean that I'll love you any less. Keep working hard and don't forget were with you all the way. Love Eiman Al-ubudy.
P.S I LOVE YOUR MOVIE KAL HO NAA HO IT'S THE BEST AND SO ARE YOU.

Hey this is Eiman again, who ever thinks ShahRukh Khan is gay his not so get over all your selfes.
P.S I DON'T MEAN TO BE RUDE THANK YOU.

SRK IS GAYYYYY and KARAN IS DAMN GAYYYYY.

I recently read an alleged interview excerpt of Anupam Chopra and Shah Rukh about how he was frustrated with being casted as an extra and hurt by the fact that he was overlooked for a prime role for Arundhati Roy ("Annie Gives to Those Ones") and he apparently told Roy that he'll one day win an Oscar for acting a gay role. I was dumbfounded. I was like 'what did he say? No way! Shah Rukh? No w-a-y!' Of all the multitude of roles on this planet (esp. in Hollywood) a gay role? Why that specifically? Is he living his fantacies through his roles, or is he proving just how versitile he is? Since, by his own admission, he no longer needs to provide any proof of his versitility, this specification is one that deserves a question mark. And by the way, the western media had already had gay Indian male(s) in cinema so he'll not be threading on new grounds.

Thus, I'll buy the book to read for myself to come up with my own conclusions. But from the exerpts of the book, the author does point out that although she spent a very long time with him while working on this book, there was a part of him that remained a mystery to her. One can conclude that she wrote a lot of info on him based on what he told her and also from other data collected during her research which can be claimed as fairly accurate. However, the "mystery" she refers to isn't coming from his lack of transparency, per se, but that there were gaps (areas of his life) which she wasn't "granted access" to in the process of learning all about him.
I was left to wonder what is left? We know of his upbringing, his father (esp. the trauma of his death), his mother (also about the impact of her death), a bit about his sister, his schooling, details of what he deemed "first kiss", college days, profession, marriage, children, etc. For most people, these are general experiences in linear terms and someone like SRK who recounts his life story openly quantify them quite proficiently. What is it that we don't know except his daily schedule including when he eats and sleeps? Wait, we know of the latter because he told the media. He hasn't left a lot to the imagination in disclosing his experiences...except this 'gay' controversy. Denials are common, esp. in such situations.

Now, that being said, I am a die hard fan of Shah Rukh. I've watched most of his films, and I own some. I was happy when he opened his production houses, and he was two thoughts ahead of me when he created the animation wing. I had thought there exists a lack in Indian cinema and I felt SRK had the potential to capitalize from exploring this market segment and from diversifying his products. And then I learned that he was in the process of doig so. I was so proud of him. I was also hoping that he'd venture into producing T.V. films/soaps and commercials and he's also on top of that game. He seems to be growing bigger, and I am so happy for him. The only thing that bothers me is this sexuality issue with Karan.

I'm honestly growing to fear and expect the worst. The fear obviously involves Karan Johar. He's a bit overwhelming and excessive when it comes to Shah Rukh, writing about him in details in a tone only his wife should be doing (go to- http://www.rediff.com/movies/2003/oct/31karan.htm)
Where is Gauri in this picture? How is it that this woman doesn't raise her brow over what appears to be a conflict of interest to her? Is she simply content with her lifestyle, no matter the toll it's taking? I'm not entirely conviced that she truly loves SRK in the first place since she doesn't intervene when he overworks himself (even performing at weddings with a chronic backpain). Even a knucklehead wife knows better and would advise her husband to work smart instead of extremely hard. To make things worse, while Karan is fawning over SRK, she is all praises for Junior Johar. I just don't get it! Doesn't Shah Rukh even get uncomfortable by such attention from another male? I think that is where the question of sexuality comes up for most people (except jealous men).

Moreover, the joke Shah Rukh made on Koffee with Karan when the host asked him "if you woke up one morning and found out you turned into me, you would..." SRK jokingly replied "Karan, the chances that I'll turn into you is less than I'll [be] in bed with you...keeping up with the rumors" was like a glitchy glympse of a potential nightmare/fear of his countless fans including myself. It was a joke [a really bad one] but I thought, you know, what if he was hinting something here? After all, it is Karan, not Gauri, who is the public face of SRK unlimited adoration and reverance.

I think their closeness is definately questionable because a) Karan is gay and is overly passionate passionate about SRK without clear and definitive boundaries [as if he was a female fan] b)certainly, other stars have male friends (for ex. Abhishek and Karan are childhood friends)--yet, there is nothing questionable about their friendship. And he isn't so vocal and reverent about other great stars who are his friends, as well. And SRK isn't short of adoring fans; why Karan (who is supposed to be his wife's friend) is so obsessive about him and SRK AND HIS WIFE don't question that and/or draw boundaries is beyond me. There is something unclean about it.

I think that is something that we'll never know because SRK has his image to keep up esp. for the sake of his kids. So, one must take his denial about rumors of KJ/SRK affair as valid as the rumors until healthy distance is put into action to validate his words.
I also read an interview in which he was asked why he often mentions his son as opposed to his daughter, and he says he is "shy of women" including his wife, indicating his level of comfort with both genders. I'm like what the hell is he talking about? Is he, then, "shy of women" to such a degree that he feels more comfortable with men like Karan? Karan does say that Shah Rukh offers him "emotional support", and sorry, when this is coming from a straight guy to one who is gay, people definately have every right to question what the hell this is all about.

On the show as he told Karan that once KANK was made, Karan now will no longer be afraid to make movie of any subject w/o fear, I was left to wonder what romance related topic has been left unexplored by Karan except for Gay romance and what is left to fear except exporing that topic in Indian cinema? Even then, he may not have anything to fear after films such as "my brother...Nikhil" and the cross-dressing guy in "Kya Kool hai Hum" who wanted to marry a guy found acceptance
in the public. Truly sad. Hindi cinema isn't what it used to be.

Karan is also adament that all his movies will have to have Shah Rukh Khan in it, so if he fearlessly makes the so-called daring films, it will include SRK as the protagonist. I just hope that such a film will not be made by SRK (Karan can cast whomever else he wants), marking the begining of SRK's fall from grace (as a rule, once reaching a pinnacle, descent is a given) but I hope that his will not be in a disgraceful manner.

Superstardom can definately blind someone. And Shah Rukh may wonder why people care about his personal life or not even care about people's anxiety about his sexuality. The bottom line is, he is where he is because he sells products that consumers buy. Anupam Chopra, Shah Rukh and most of his consumers unanimously agree that it's not his acting skills but what he represents that makes him a super star and loved by many. If he takes his stardom as something unbreakable, and he believes in its invincibility, he must remember the law of gravity. It's only when one makes unrealistic jump that one lands in such a way that they are unable to be resurrect themselves again. Although he is loved by his fans like myself, when he takes away that image he has projected for such a long time, his marketability will be put to the test. Then, Shah Rukh really needs to be honest with himself, clarify what he really stands for and draw boundaries in such ambiguous relationships such his and Karan's.

shahrukh khan et le trés beaux acteur et parceque il est un grand suxée les jalousis déclares qu'il est un gay pour .........
