Mira Nair To Make A Film On The Beatles!

Mira Nair doesn't believe in taking a break and now right after completing The Namesake, she has jumped into a new venture. This time its about the greatest band of all time, the incredible Beatles! However the documentary feature would concentrate on the Beatles and their Indian Connection and would revolve around the time they spent with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the sixties.

"Some of the best loved Beatles numbers, including ones from White Album and Abbey Road, were inspired by the time they spent

in India and the experiences they had. The idea is to explore and examine, through these fascinating musicians, the broader theme of artistic inspiration and how it comes about,"said Nair.

"We are still in the midst of working out the final structure but there is no doubt that it is a fascinating story. I mean, We recently came across bands in Shillong who even today model themselves on the Beatles,"
