The last month has been very sad for the Indian arts industry as not only did we lose the legendary Ustad Bismillah Khan, we also lost one of the best directors has ever seen. Hrishikesh Mukherjee the man who gave us gems like Anupama, Chupke Chupke, Satyakam was paid a fitting tribute by the British media. They call him “chronicler of the conservative Indian middle classes of the 1970s' and the Times obituary read like this:
"He was one of the last truly Bollywood-rooted directors, deliberately eschewing stories set in overseas locales and featuring flamboyant stars who dressed outrageously and acted outlandishly.”
