Shekar Kapur, the man behind movies like Masoom, Mr , Bandit Queen and Elizabeth is all set to adapt the Bard’s Romeo And Juliet for his next Bollywood venture. However there is a twist as the story is set in future where there is acute water shortage and how water becomes the catalyst for war! Nothing else is known about the movie and Kapur wasn’t exactly forthcoming when it came to all the details. The movie would be titled “Paani” or Water and in most probability will also be released in English.

'It's a very relevant film for today's times,'' said Kapur. ''It is an adaptation of 'Romeo and Juliet' but in times where there would be a huge scarcity of water.''
