Looks like it’s not only Indians who like the movie Krrish. Personally I didn’t care for the superhero caper as I believe for a great superhero story you need an equally powerful villain. Something which Krrish overlooked and concentrated more on Priyankas antics than Naseeruddin Shah’s histrionics.Well anyways that’s just my opinion but I am happy that Krrish is getting recognition not only on the Indian shores but abroad too. In fact Krrish has been featured on the two major American publications; Newsweek and Los Angeles Times.
This is what the folks at Newsweek had to say about our desi super-hero :
"Superman may have returned, but if he doesn't perform up to snuff his job could soon be outsourced to India.” They continue to say “Indian epics like the Ramayana are brimming with outsize figures, but up to now Indians have seen very few homegrown celluloid superheroes”.
LA Times simply said "Move over Superman, make room for Krrish."
The father and son duo are thrilled about it as expected and hope that the movie takes off like the Asian blockbuster Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon.
i loved this hrithik starrer.. for so many reasons, a major one being priyanka! ;)
