The cash registers are ringing, the producers are getting richer and the films are getting more global. Yes folks Bollywood is changing for the better and looks like there is no turning back. According to trade pundits, India will gross over $3.3 billion by the year 2010 which is quite impressive since right now the estimated profit is around $313 million per year.

So what are the reasons behind this boom? Well apart from factors like globalization and friendly polices by the Indian government one must also give credit to the film-makers. Now the films are reaching and getting accepted beyond the sub continent. Case in point movies like Krrish which have been accepted globally. There is also this new trend of firms opting for public trading and also employing international artists and animation houses at lower costs when compared to their Hollywood cousins. Another glaring example of Bollywood’s new style of business was seen when Eros Entertainment opted for public sharing in the UK.
